London restaurant closes its doors after four decades

25The Meghna Grill in South Woodford, North East London, is shutting down after being in business for around 40 years. Mazir Uddin, now 78 years old , opened the restaurant in 1972, a few years after he moved to the UK.

Mr Uddin recently retired and nephews Abdul Hassan and Ahmed Sharif, who have been running the restaurant for the past 14 years, have decided to embark on another venture. The restaurant served its last meals to its customers towards the end of August.
