26Tamarind Collection is to re-launch Zaika restaurant as One Kensington. The aim is to recreate the atmosphere of London’s leading private members’ clubs, but without the need for membership. Due to open in March, One Kensington will offer all-day dining or a place to simply socialise with friends or colleagues in stylish and convivial surroundings.

Overlooking Kensington Palace Gardens, One Kensington will also house a long food bar and an elevated champagne table, the latter with excellent views. The restaurant is housed in a Grade II listed, late Gothic revival Victorian building built in 1885 for the London and County Bank to designs by architect Alfred Williams. Award-winning B3 Designers have put their own distinctive mark on the interiors, at the same time as making full use of original architectural features such as the high carved vaulted ceilings, double height windows and expansive wood panelling.
